I’m rereading “Written” by Bec Evans and Chris Smith because I won my very own signed copy from the LWS 24hr sprint! I’m also dipping into “Snow, Flood and Tempest” written in 2001 and a good reminder that rail people have heroically struggled with extreme weather since the railways were invented (perhaps a good reminder of what pre-climate change normal looked like)
I can’t imagine my life and especially my childhood without reading. I’m currently reading A Feather in the Breath of God by Sigrid Nunez. I read a short extract as part of a memoir course but loved it so much I’m reading the whole book
I’m reading Jackdaw by Tade Thompson. I got it at the amazing Francis Bacon exhibition at the Nat. Portrait Gallery in London. Excited to work out where it goes…
Thanks for organising, Katherine. This touched my heart 🥰 Books have always been among my preschooler’s favourite activities. (I read him the Mog’s books as soon as his eyes could focus as a baby.) If my donation helps even one disadvantaged child discover the joy of reading that would be awesome.
I’m currently re-reading one of my all time favourite books, Wilkie Collins’s The Moonstone. I love how distinct each of the many narrators are, and am looking for inspiration ahead of starting a new writing project with multiple PoVs in the new year xx
I'm about to start reading "The Book that Broke the World," book two of Mark Lawrence's fantasy series, The Library Trilogy. What a neat coincidence with a fundraiser for reading.

I've just finished reading "Learning to Think" by Tracy King - a remarkable memoir from a girl deprived of everything but love and books.
